UPDATE: Thanks to Jim, who reminds this lapsed Catholic that he satired a Psalm not the Lord’s Prayer. Correction below.

I am going to hell for sure, but just HAD to post this.

The Lord’s Prayer
Psalm 23 – Psalm of David

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death; I will fear no evil: for thou
art with me; thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of mine enemies: thou anointest
my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all
the days of my life; and I will dwell in the
house of the Lord for ever.

The One is my organizer I shall not work
He maketh me head to townhalls on buses;
he leadeth me to beat down wingnuts selling flags.

He restoreth the old tax levels: he leadeth me in the
paths of thuggery for his prompter’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the shadow of the
EIB network; I will fear no Limbaugh: for ACORN
art with me; thy Axelrod and thy Chief-of-Staff
comfort me.

Thou preparest a fable before the media trying to
present thy agenda in the presence of mine enemy:
the annointed one doth annoit me with foreign oil;
thy rhetoric runneth over.

Surely Welfare and FEMA shall follow me all
the days of my life; and I will dwell in my foreclosed
home for ever.

AMEN

Hooray for media outrage!
Hooray for media complicity!

  1. The Lords prayer is so fitting when we look at how our country has been exploited by this wolf dressed in sheep’s clothes. His path is so Saul Alinsky but does miss the key point to all actions, there is an end state and this will come soon. Slowly as we see in town hall meetings the sleeping giant that is know as Americans is waking up.

    We are embracing what could be depicted as the resurgence of AARP (American Against Rape & Pillage) Subtlety is not always the trade mark that will reach its objective with Chicago thugs. But congratulations for it are not very far from the truth. Even though we have been kidnapped we tend to be to genteel to fight back, that is what is counted on by BHO. Grass Roots and Town hall meetings will be part of the solution, but a full court press is what is needed on Senators to kill Cap and Trade and both Congressmen/woman and Senators on this scam tax that is being pushed as a medical plan.

  5. Being a fellow Navy man, I too Know I’m going to Hell ( most probably in gasoline skivvies)…but I LIKE IT !!!
    Btw…are you a “Constitutional Watchdog”? Sure hope so.

    Slightly O/T, but … I’ve been perusing some of the other blogs in the ‘sphere and not only are we considered extremists, we are now known as ‘domestic terrorists’ for making our voices heard at the town hall meetings!!!
    Pot.Meet.Kettle. Crazy isn’t it? They just can’t handle their OWN tactics used against them. The only difference is we on our side haven’t resorted to violence (as was reported at one T/H already-SEIU thugs), yet. I hope it don’t come to that, but I stand ready…if necessary.
    Keep digging, keep fighting, shining the light of truth…no longer a skirmish, but a prolonged operation to win back this great country. Keep at it , rnw.

  6. This is a funny piece of satire and so I hate to be the buzz kill here, but that isn’t the Lord’s Prayer, it’s the 23rd Psalm. To satirize the Lord’s Prayer (“Our Father which art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name …”) you would need something like, “Our Obama, which art in Washington, hallowed be thy TelePrompTer …”). Anyway, you’ve shown real skill at this sort of thing so I’ll leave it to you to decide if you want to do a version of the actual Lord’s Prayer.
    Oh, and thank God that whether or not you go to Hell isn’t based on satirizing the scriptures of Christianity. I doubt that anybody would harm you in this life for that. I wonder what might happen to your earthly life if you satirized the Koran around the wrong people, though.

    • Thanks Jim. I realized after I named it that I goofed. Pretty sad, with me having been raised Catholic and attended parochial school through the 8th grade. 🙂 I have fixed it, though.

  7. Wow…I missed it all the way around. But, what can I say…
    I was raised in a Methodist environment (yeah, yeah, I know) where I can still remember watching the elder church
    members in their regular pews on Sunday actually sleeping off the previous nights ‘activities’. Yeah, a real stable religious environment for learning the scriptures, huh?
    No matter…excellent satire, tho.
