Rape Isn’t Really Rape

Roman Polanski is a sleezeball. Thirty years ago, when he was 44, he was at a friend’s (Jack Nicholson) . There also was a 13 year girl. He drugged her and then raped her.

Polanski was charged in 1977 with raping a 13-year-old girl he plied with champagne and Quaaludes. He served 42 days in jail, but fled when a plea deal collapsed

And now that he has been arrested, the left ahs been screaming foul. They say that it was over 30 years ago and that the girl has since forgiven him. WTF?? Are we such a corrupt society that we feel it is ok to let a CRIME of such stature pass on by? Where do we draw the line? Why not let Charles Manson out? After all, it has been years since it happened. Surely he has paid his dues.

Whoopi Goldberg, on The View this week had the audacity to say that he “didn’t rape rape her…”

Excuse me? Please define what Rape Rape is for me. Is that only half as bad as Rape? Or is doesn’t count because the girl, completely doped up and drunk, said ok?

Do you have children? If you do, and you agree with Whoopi, then you should be part of the eugenics program suggested by White House advisor Cass Sunstein. We are, truly, a country on the skids.

I don’t give a damn WHAT your party affiliation. Raping a minor is a criminal offense that needs to be punished. There is no statute of limitations. The man is lucky the girl was not my daughter. Rape charges would be the least of his concerns.

The Force Is Strong

UPDATE: They are unhinged to the point of becoming tin foil hatters. Now they want lefties to take our picture to prove we are being paid.

The elite media and those who serve them are becoming unhinged. Remember one of the cardinal rules found in Rules For Radicals – Ridicule your enemy. Having ridicule thrown in your face is hard, because there is no real way to argue the point. You can argue the point of no big government. You can argue the point that global warming climate change is not man made. You can argue the point that illegal immigration is very, very bad for the country.

But argue them calling you a doodie head? Calling you a tin foil hatter or birther? How do you argue that? The conversation goes from making the points above to defending yourself. Once you start down that road, you are on a slippery slope. You are in danger of invalidating everything that you and others are working to achieve by letting your emotions overwhelm your intellect.

Don’t let the media drive the conversation. In the famous words of Red Leader speaking to Luke Skywalker as they entered the final approach to the Death Star, “Stay on target.”

With all of the laser cannons blasting at them, trying in vain to swat the gnat-like x-wings “Stay on target.” They cannot get us with the broad sweeping rhetoric, so they have taken to sending out imperial tie-fighters to attack us individually. Stay strong. Stay on point. Do not fall for their side-bar engagement. The fact that the mouthpiece media and Democrat leadership are beginning to attack, personally, those who are dissenting means that we have struck a nerve and they are afraid.

We are here to stay. The force is with us. Stay on target.

On a completely unrelated note, these are the people we are supposed to trust with our country?

More Proof Regarding Media Bias

It should not come as ANY surprise that there is a plethora of bias running rampant through our media. However, the normal routine is to deny any bias and try to pass itself off as a hard-nosed, objective journalistic outlet.

Michelle Malkin reminds us what was said back in 2007, by editor Bill Keller:

…we are agnostic as to where a story may lead; we do not go into a story with an agenda or a pre-conceived notion. We do not manipulate or hide facts to advance an agenda. We strive to preserve our independence from political and economic interests, including our own advertisers. We do not work in the service of a party, or an industry, or even a country. When there are competing views of a situation, we aim to reflect them as clearly and fairly as we can.

So you see, outlets like the NYT feel themselves (or try to pass themselves off ) to be high on integrity. They only care about the truth.

Now, however, read the truth. Unbiased my butt. These folks are still trying hard to convince America that this Administration is good for us.

It’s GaffeTastic

The arrogance of this administration is unprecedented. Everything done is done in an effort to make them look pretty and to get people talking about how smooth and hip they are or how much SWAGGA they have. When will the media frenzy end? Personally, I think that in the end they will be hurt by the continual pressure, as the average citizen can only take so much of the incessant self-promotion.

Case in point is our new Vice President, Joe Biden. Joe has a habit of shooting from the hip, something I do not fault him for. He has, upon occasion, given our side much food to chew on, but his latest ‘gaffe’ I do not understand. Joe went on on a news program and said that he, personally, would avoid planes and subways. Ok, nothing wrong here, if you want to avoid getting sick. One DOES avoid closed in spaces.

So why, then, does the administration rush to get a correction out? He only meant planes to Mexico (even though he actually SAID that eh did not mean just going to Mexico)? Well, as Doug Powers points out, I guess it is a good thing that we avoid the subway to Mexico as well.

There Is A Reason The Stupid DHS Report Came Out

UPDATE: Janet Napolitano said to apologize to American Legion.

The Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. While Glorious Leader was out and about, hobnobbing and kissing the butts of the entire world, she was out and about alienating one of our closest allies- Canada.

In a statement of EPICALLY STUPID proportions, the CEO of the DHS said that the 9/11 terrorists came across the Canadian border. Of course, after she left, someone told her what a dumb thing that was to say and she then issued a ‘clarification’; which is not a clarification, but more of a retraction.

In a release Tuesday night following the interview, she called Canada a “close ally and an important partner” and said she was simply misunderstood.

“I know that the September 11th hijackers did not come through Canada to the United States,” she said in the statement.

Can we get to the business of securing the borders and quit blaming everyone but our liberal government for the issues we are facing? And YES, I think that G.W. was a total, liberal sellout on the issue of illegal immigration.

Millions Gather In Protest

I am a math guy. I am NOT a Mathematician. I am not that good. However, I DO know that thousands of people gathered in protest on Tax Day, April 15th.

According to some, when liberals count their protesters, if they reach six figures it means they have a MILLION folks involved. With that logic, this means that we can officially call our event the MILLION TAXPAYER MARCH.

Ok, I don’t totally agree with that, but I would like to offer some analysis based on my limited knowledge. When pollsters go out and talk to people, get feedback and then crunch numbers, they are extrapolating out to get an estimate of the true value. That’s why they call elections long before the election booths close. By interviewing a few, they get the trend and make their prediction.

I would offer that because these tea parties happened in the middle of the week, for every person who attended there were a half-dozen OR MORE who could not. Using this logic, which is no better or worse than the ‘six figures means a million’, we had MORE THAN a million people who attended and/or supported the cause.

Additionally, I was personally appalled at how the media portrayed those who attended. Anderson Cooper, whose show is one of the few on CNN I have watched with any regularity, lost my viewership for anything he may have on from now on. Does one viewer break them? Nope. But I believe principles matter and so I boycott him. As well, Keith Over-the-top, Rachel Maddog and dozens of other slander hounds felt the need to belittle the effort. Why? What is the fear?

I believed in the war and why we went there. I think those who protested soldiers’ funerals were anti-American slugs who don’t deserve to live in this country. I believe that all illegal aliens should be deported, their children born here included because they are putting an unmanageable burden on our resources. And don’t give me the liberal crap about “Its for the children.” I feel sorry for the kids, but the fact remains that their parents are not from our country and our system cannot split families.

I know that does not follow our current Constitution, but that is my OPINION. I think that the Constitution should be amended to clarify that to be a citizen you have to be born on our soil (or places owned by the USA, such as military bases) and one of your parents must be a legal citizen of the United States. Many illegals come to the USA to have their children and thus get into the system and freeload off of hardworking people.

But I do not recall anyone in the EXTREMIST RIGHT WING media belittling them. They reported it. The commentators took issue with those who protested and shouted hate speech at dead soldiers, but while they took issue, they did not resort to childish denigration. Of course, that might explain why EXTREMIST RIGHT WING media is trouncing the rest. In fact, FOX viewership trounced EVERY OTHER MEDIA OUTLET COMBINED. I guess that is root cause of the liberal outcry. They are upset that they suck ass and FOX is the preferred network.

Of course, that is my OPINION.

Earth Cooling Not Warming

From the Ice Cap:

The [Science and Public Policy Institute] SPPI’s authoritative Monthly CO2 Report for March 2009 demonstrates that all global-temperature datasets show rapid global cooling for seven full years, at a rate equivalent to 2 C (3.6 F) per century.

Since Al Gore’s climate movie An Inconvenient Truth was launched in January 2005, global cooling has occurred at the equivalent of 10 F (5.5 C) per century. If this rapid cooling were to continue, the Earth would be in an Ice Age by 2100.

The UN’s climate panel, the IPCC, had projected temperature increases at 4.5 to 9.5 F (2.4 to 5.3 C) per century, with a central estimate of 7 F (3.9 C) per century. None of the IPCC’s computer models had predicted a prolonged cooling.

So, basically, the U.N. IDIOT’s have no clue.

Here is the deal. If you write a program to simulate an event, you need to be able to enter in parameters. In this case, the program parameters ASSUME CO2 is a major player in the atmosphere. In fact, it is not. Water is the main culprit.

The 1500’s had warmer temperatures than there are now. What, did they destroy all of the evil coal factories only to make us re-invent them? Why do other bodies in our solar system undergo similar temperature fluctuations as Earth? I wonder what the common denominator is?

Oh yeah. SOL! The SUN! The huge FIREBALL spinning out there in space that occasionally (in, like, 11 year cycles) shoots hot gas our way via SUNSPOTS. No sunspots, Earth cools. Get the picture? Quit lying to the public.

We, Too, Can Go Behind The Scenes

UPDATE: CNN forces the taking down of the popular YouTube video. Patterico has sent a letter to the network admonishing them and asking that they reconsider.

Much has been made by Keith Over-the-top and his partisan hecklers about Neil Cavuto saying behind the scenes that there were more than 5000 people in Sacremento and then saying on TV that there had to be more than 2 or 3 times that.

Then, of course, much was made about CNN hack Susan Roesgen and her whining that the Chicago tae party was anti-CNN and anti-government, pushed by the right wing FOX News. However, we, too, can garner behind the scenes video.

IDIOTS.
