More Cap And Tax Omissions

If you want people to actually trust you, you have to do something worth receiving that trust. Of course, the US Government could care less about being trustworthy, as long as they are getting the opportunity to reign in more and more personal power.

Take, for example, the fact that the guy who (allegedly) wrote the upcoming Carbon Cap and Trade Bill, Henry Waxman. This guy wants us to trust him on his proposed legislation, but cannot even say for sure what is in it! Maybe, sir, if you would quit trying to bury billions of special interest crap into a 1200 page piece of crap, you might actually know what the hell your own law will mean.

Now, the government is putting the spin cycle on full force as they purposefully omit vital information from their (public-facing) numbers crunch. I imagine the real (privately held) numbers are more precise. Directly from the folks at Heritage.org:

Most problematic is their complete omission of economic damage from restricting energy use. Footnote three on page four reads, “The resource cost does not indicate the potential decrease in gross domestic product (GDP) that could result from the cap. The reduction in GDP would also include indirect general equilibrium effects, such as changes in the labor supply resulting from reductions in real wages and potential reductions in the productivity of capital and labor).” That’s a pretty big chunk of change to ignore. In The Heritage Foundation’s analysis of the Waxman-Markey climate change legislation, the GDP hit in 2020 was $161 billion (2009 dollars). For a family of four, that is $1,870 that they ignore.

Government Targets All Sararies, Not Just Execs

Are you feeling the love of Glorious Leader yet? If not, you soon may be. In an unprecedented (just how many times can we say that with one administration) power grab the United States Congress has moved to control the salaries of all employees working for companies that it has invested in. What does this mean actually?

Basically, if you work for any company that received TARP money, whether the company wanted it or not (and some were ‘encouraged’ to take the funds), then Treasury Secretary “Turbo Tax” Tim will get to make the call as to whether or not you are receiving the correct compensation for your services. It does not matter if you have a contract or not because the legislation will be retroactive. Yes, that is correct, Uncle Nanny will now decide if you make too much in salary, bonuses, stock options, or any other of a myriad of potential compensations you may be getting as dictated by the terms of your contract.

Bawney Fwank, resident weasel in charge, is the individual behind this fiasco. If it is not stopped, one can be rest assured that things will only go from bad to worse. Next up, remember, is the auto industry. Then, when carbon cap and trade threatens to bankrupt the coal industry, they will have a bailout forced upon them as well. Soon, I imagine, all of Energy will be governmentally dictated.

Doom And Gloom?

Glorious Leader has sent his resident tax-cheat-in-charge out to pump us up regarding the next phase of the unbeatable plan to ruin our economy. “The latest attempt to tackle the banking crisis and get loans flowing to families and businesses will create a new government entity, the Public-Private Investment Program, to help purchase as much as $1 trillion in toxic assets on banks’ books.” says FOX news.

Is it me? Or are the idiots in congress just completely clueless about things? The problem is not a lack of money out there, it is a lack of trust. Get people doing things that business and industry feels will work, and watch things begin to turn around. All that is going to happen is runaway inflation. Why can a retired enlisted guy with just a community college education see it, but movers and shakers of the financial world cannot?

The answer? They can.

If you read what foreign papers (and even Time magazine) you will see that behind the scenes, banks and financial powerhouses are trying to force the world into a globally run banking industry.

Russia and others want a new, global currency where the entire world pays into. What does this mean for us? We would be paying taxes to a global government made up of financial corporations and banks. Instead of your tax dollars helping California (a bad thing if you live in Florida anyway) it would go to help, say, Poland, or the U.K. or Kenya. We would be at the mercy of institutions like the UN or Bilderberg.

Conservatives are taking a stand, but they will need our help.

Revolution Is At Hand

3/24/2009 UPDATE: Michelle Malkin lets us know that these Obamabots are not even making a blip on congressional radar.

The establishment (congress) has turned its eyes and ears from the people it presumes to serve. They have, for too long, shunned us, making laws and regulations contrary to the will of the people. They have begun the war in earnest, crafting shadowy plans and movements in the effort to shout down and turn attention from the freedom fighters who, across the country, have been meeting in houses, at local town halls, in private businesses and along the shores of lakes.

With the rapid outcry just scarcely gaining momentum, the knee-jerk reaction of the administration is predictable. They fear us, for We Surround Them. Arm in arm, side by side we stand to make our voices heard. We shall not and cannot be silenced or dimmed, for whatever tactic they choose, we are prepared to retaliate a hundred fold. We are a government of, by and for the People, though they in the hallowed halls of our forefathers seem to think that this ‘passing fad’ and all shall return to the status quo shortly.

Let me be not the first nor last to respond by saying fear not, sirs, we are here for the long haul. You shall listen and you shall take heed, or you shall be removed from your precious throne of power. This is not some trivial collective bargain to which you can so easily dismiss us to the handling of your lower servants. This is a war to take back what is constitutionally ours. Battles shall be waged, and some lost for sure. But take heed now, lest you miss the point- there is no price we are not willing to pay in wresting from you the very freedom you wish to subvert.

Government Moves To Control Charities

Did you know?

In the latest legislation being pushed through congress, those making over $250K cannot claim as much charitable giving as they once did. In other words, if you normally give a lot to charity, and claim it on your taxes (because it is a good deduction and you get it back, thus helping reduce your tax burden) you will not get as much back as you once did.

Why is that? So the government can get more of your money, of course.

However, administration officials say that it is because the government has written more charitable giving into the legislation, so Americans are not ‘burdened’ with it.

Ah yes. So, like the banks, if you are a charity organization, you can get money from good old Barney Frank.

But at what cost?
