McCain has been a loser all his life. He stole a place from a qualified candidate at the Naval Academy because his father was a high-ranking officer. Then he goofed off for 4 years and finished 3rd from the bottom in his class. Then he crashed multiple planes costing the military millions of dollars and got himself captured by the enemy. He then came home and dumped his crippled wife and family for a rich socialite whose connections and money got him elected to the Senate and now he is taking up space in the US Senate trying to destroy the reputation of hard working Americans while he can't even remember how many homes he owns. Stupidity or dementia? John McCain is a disgrace to this nation.

HI Heidi! This is great! Thanks for sharing your thtguhos. I agree with your deepest feelings about the value of each child and the shared responsibility we have to give all children the ability to thrive. Yes, we need to be active and supportive of creating the best opportunities we can for children and their education. We need to listen to the needs of children and those who oversee their care. As a teacher, I am often frustrated that I cannot provide the best learning environment for the children I teach. I am limited to the resources that I am given. I am frustrated that I cannot teach to my fullest abilities in the ways I would like to teach the children of today. More people need to get involved. Parents can have a voice but the community at large needs to contribute too. They need to know how we are all working very hard to meet the growing needs of children and the changing world around us: to prepare them to be able to work and contribute to our changing world. We need a huge tidal wave to move us forward and this means more people need to take a stand to bring us up to speed so your children are up to the pace of the world around them. Keep sending out the message, in as many ways you can. Your words can become contagious and reach the ears of those who can move us ahead. Thanks for working with us!

Just to correct a mispiarehenspon in FLu Mask's comment antivirals such as Tamiflu are currently still effective against the novel H1N1 (swine) virus, although they are not effective against many current strains of seasonal flu. Given the rapid mutation of RNA viruses, this situation may change over time.Anybody considering the use of a protective mask would do well to consider . They are useful in certain circumstances against aerosol droplets (produced by coughs and sneezes), but the very small size of airborne flu virions limits their effectiveness. This gives some key information on the airborne propagation of viruses. Droplet nucleii of the size which penetrate most masks can travel 160 feet(!) or more. (Thanks to the for bringing this presentation to my attention.)This is one reason why attempts to control the spread of flu are generally impractical and ineffective. (Another is that people start spreading flu before they develop any symptoms so any precautions taken are too late to be effective.)

Kara, your sweet transparency alwyas make me smile. :) you were saying that you would normally pray against any trials for your children, well that’s how I feel about me that's how I feel about me too! :) That's my natural inclination, to ask the Lord to take the issue away. It's usually about the time I realize it's NOT going away right now that I recognize He's teaching me endurance and patience and trust, etc. So yes, I'd say He's up to something in your life. :) And it's a PERFECT place to start to be thankful. Go, girl! :) What's interesting and it just came to me is that my natural inclination is also to pray that the Lord take the issue away for friends. But I'm praying for you right now, that the Lord uses this trial to grow you in Christ and cause you to cling to Him all the more. May you have peace and joy in the midst, knowing He works all things together for good to them that love Him and are called according to His purpose. xoxo
