UPDATE: As expected, the wise Latina woman has been confirmed. Cross your fingers, and hold onto your guns.
The Senate Judiciary committee has voted 13-6, with Lindsey Graham the only dissenting Republican, to confirm Judge Sonia Sotomayor. As has been reported, Judge Sotomayor brought controversy to the confirmation process when she commented that a wise Latina woman would more often reach a better decision than a white man because of her rich life experiences.
The vote now moves to the full Senate where she is expected to be easily confirmed. Hold on to your guns. This lady is a radical in the vein of Glorious Leader. They did not see it in Obama. They do not see it in her. Wish us luck. We are going to need it.
In other news, it has been reported that Michael Jackson is still dead. Oh. And I think his nose is still missing.
